Position Purpose

Responsible for performing a wide range of financial tasks, including handling deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashier's checks, money orders, and cash advances. Additionally responsible for opening and closing accounts, renewing certificate accounts, originating consumer loans, and assisting members with account inquiries in both English and Spanish. Ensures accurate balance of daily transactions and verifies cash totals. Actively promotes credit union services and products to fulfill the diverse needs of members.

  • Resolves member requests and questions promptly, courteously, and professionally.
  • Proven ability to promote a team environment.
  • Ability to perform teller responsibilities, new account and lending operations.
  • Sets cross selling goals with manager monthly and works to consistently achieve set goals.
  • Assist other employees in the branch by answering questions, solving problems, and helping with complex work-related matters.
  • Handle Glia calls and live chats to assist members with inquiries
  • Professionally express oneself through written and oral communication.
  • Educate members about our products and services to meet their financial needs.
  • Needs to balance daily and ensure open and closing work is done properly.
  • Ensure that all information and transactions regarding credit union members are kept confidential. Maintain the security of the work area and keep it organized and neat in appearance.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous attitude with all people, including fellow employees, members, management staff, board members, and outside vendors.
  • Attend meetings as required.
  • Promote a professional appearance and attitude.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Basic computer operating skills such as email, Microsoft Office, etc.
  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

Experience

At least one year of experience in a financial institution.

Prefer experience with new accounts and loan origination.

Bilingual English and Spanish ability preferred.


Education

High School Diploma or equivalent
